Greek Life

Why go Greek?

Fraternity and sorority members live in Greek chapter houses after two semesters in a residence hall. (You can pledge to a Greek chapter at any time, even while you’re living in your residence hall.)

Wesleyan’s Greek community includes four sororities and three fraternities with many of the same amenities as the residence halls.

Greek life is about:

  • academic excellence (Greek GPA is higher than University average.)
  • friends
  • community service (Every house has its own philanthropies.)
  • leadership
  • professional networking

Is the Greek community right for you?

You’re the only one who can make that decision. Someone else’s feelings about a chapter just aren’t important. It’s all about where you feel comfortable.
