Shaken, not stirred

I am obsessed with James Bond. I own the entire movie collection and I watch them often!

Getting the scoop

My dream job is to be a designer or writer for a magazine. My favorites are GQ and Rolling Stone.

Just hanging out

I love hanging out with my friends. I am not a huge fan of crowds so anytime I can get away is wonderful!

Ducks in a row

Well it is official; this year is moving way too fast already. It is already March which means I have just around 2 months to get my life in order before I take the ceremonial stage and spend my last day on campus as a student. That’s right, I’m talking about graduation.

Something that I have been told over and over again is how quickly the years in college will fly by. Boy have they flown by! I can still remember the move–in day of my first year. It was really hot and my parent’s car decided to stop working the exact same day in the parking lot!

Last week was Career Week here at Nebraska Wesleyan University. There were so many employers on campus, which made me as giddy as a schoolgirl. So many job possibilities and I have to choose one! Where is my resume? Where is my suit? How does my hair look? OH and don’t forget to wear your smile! That is what I was thinking all last week.

My favorite holiday!

April Fools Day is today. This is probably one of the most fun holidays on the calendar; at least for me it is.

My friends usually know to expect something to happen to them, nothing bad of course just some good clean wholesome fun! Usually my friend Carrielle and I would travel to our place of work and pull pranks on our managers but this year we decided not to bother them since last year we got in a little bit of trouble!

The NWU newspaper “The Reveille” publishes their annual April Fools edition tomorrow and I am so excited. I am the Web Editor for the newspaper and have been working for the publication for four years, which means I have been involved in four April Fools editions, all of which were simply amazing!

The April Fools edition allows the staff a little time to unwind from all the serious work that we do and gives us the opportunity to stretch our satirical skills! It is a lot of fun and the students, faculty and staff are always eager to see what we come up with.

As always here is a little shameless plug for the newspaper. Check us out at www.thereveillenwu.com.

Three more weeks

What a week this is. Three big projects only leading up to dead week, which will focus on presenting those projects and then finals week. It is all worth it though and I can’t complain because most of the projects are pretty fun.

Earth Day was last week and I can’t tell you enough how much I love Earth Day! From my experience, NWU has always put on a good show during this time. Bands, henna tattoos, the viewing of the newest Hybrid car models, etc. plus you get a chance to celebrate being green!

Too bad we can’t have an Earth Week, because that would be neat!

Now for my shameless plug. This week we are compiling the last issue of the Reveille for the semester. Check it out on Thursday, April 30 at www.thereveillenwu.com.

Photo Album

This was taken in St. Louis during a Collegiate Media Association conference. I was trying to push the Gateway Arch back to Nebraska, unfortunately I was unsuccessful.

Maggie and I working on our meditation skills. I don’t remember why we decided to balance the glasses on our heads.

It was very cold during one of the home football games. So cold in fact that I got my tongue stuck to my trumpet mouthpiece…

Robin and I goofing off at work. Having four jobs isn’t always easy but I always seem to find a way to have fun!

Megan and I on our way to a scuba diving trip in Kearney, NE. We didn’t know that that weekend it was supposed to be rainy and cold. Needless to say we still had a good time!
