Campus Activities

Greek Organizations

Alpha Gamma Delta

Much like NWU, Alpha Gamma Delta offers a close-knit environment, where the virtues they prize most are scholarship, leadership and service. Alpha Gams strongly encourage each other to succeed in academics through various scholarship awards, study groups; faculty banquets scholarship gifts, book exchanges and registration help sessions.

Alpha Gams also enjoy being involved in several different campus organizations and athletics, while remaining active off-campus by holding part-time jobs and volunteering in the community. Although they are busy with activities and schoolwork, they can always find time to lend a hand to various philanthropies. Some of their service projects include their annual Teeter-totter Marathon, Halloween parties for diabetic children, and the Greeks in the Streets.

The social calendar of Delta Zetas remains full each year with a Barn Party, Hayrack Ride, formals and other events. Sisterhood and friendships are everlasting at Delta Zeta.

Omega Alpha Chi

Omega Alpha Chi presents its members with many new and exciting perspectives to fraternity life. Omega Alpha Chi is a "substance free" chapter rooted in Christian principles. Their foundation is not based on a specific denomination, but rather focuses on brotherhood, unity and personal growth and faith in Christ. Members of Omega Alpha Chi excel in all academic fields. Socially they offer a variety of different opportunities. Each year they have a fall and spring formal, date dashes and parties with live bands. They have gone water skiing, snow skiing in the Rockies and played pinball as well as competing in their annual alumni golf tournament. Leadership and campus involvement are also very important to them.

Omega Chi Rho

"Forever Christ" - This is the meaning of the name Omega Chi Rho and the purpose of the sorority. As the youngest sorority on Nebraska Wesleyan University's campus, the cornerstone of Omega Chi Rho is Jesus Christ. Their purpose is to build lasting friendships within the sorority and share with NWU and the surrounding community who Christ is and why they believe in Him as their Savior. They do not follow a certain denomination, but are more interested in unity and fellowship as a sorority in Jesus Christ. Their activities include both spring and winter formals, a Valentine's Day Dessert for women, and philanthropy opportunities at a Lincoln nursing home.

Theta Chi

At Theta Chi, we stress academics, resulting in some of the highest grades on campus. Academics aren't the only thing we stress in our chapter; we like to have fun too! Every year Theta Chi holds a "back to school bash" party, date dashes, bowling parties, sorority dinner exchanges and a winter and spring formal. We also encourage campus involvement.

The women of Willard are known for their outgoing, open and fun personalities. Willard has an aura of acceptance and diversity that is displayed in our involvement on campus.

Willard's strong sense of sisterhood is a key asset that adds to our involvement in both campus and community activities. Our sisters participate in a range of activities such as Student Affairs Senate, Union Programs, Order of Omega, sports and academic honoraries. We take pride in our philanthropic activities which include a Rock-a-Thon for the Make a Wish Foundation and providing Christmas gifts for local needy children.

They also have members in many different campus activities. Zeta Psi members represent every NWU intercollegiate sport as well as organizations such as Board of Governors and New Student Orientation (NSO).

Zeta Psi offers a vast and diverse social calendar. Some of their events include Bowery, a Zete tradition from the Prohibition Era, Zeteful Dead, a spring formal at the Embassy Suites in Kansas City, and a healthy amount of date parties and weekend house parties.
