NWU junior wins Truman Scholarship

Congratulations to Nebraska Wesleyan junior Desereé Johnston who has been named a Truman Scholarship Winner.

The Truman Scholarship is one of the nation's most prestigious academic awards.The scholarship provides $30,000 toward graduate study. Scholars receive priority admission and supplemental financial aid at premier graduate institutions, leadership training, and special internship opportunities within the federal government. Desereé is one of 65 scholars in the nation to win this award and was selected from a pool of 595 national applicants.

Since its inception in 1975, this is the fourth time the Truman Scholarship has been bestowed on a Nebraska Wesleyan University student.
